1200 and V-800 Oil Contamination of TRA Drive Pulley

Dear Ski-Doo® Owner,
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Act, the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act and other applicable laws.

What is the reason for this notice?
In cooperation with Transport Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. (“BRP“) are conducting a voluntary safety recall of certain 2009 and 2010 Ski-Doo models. Our records indicate that you are the owner of a potentially affected vehicle.

What is the potential problem?
Due to a possible oil contamination of the drive pulley tapers during the assembly process, the drive pulley governor cup taper may start to slip and lead to a bolt breakage. This may cause debris to come
out of the engine compartment at high speed and debris may act as projectiles. This situation can potentially cause serious injuries or even death to riders or bystanders.

What should you do?
Immediately stop using your vehicle, call an authorized BRP dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle repaired. He will clean the drive pulley fixed sheave and governor cup tapers and replace the drive pulley bolt and conical spring washer. The dealer will perform this work at no charge to you.

What to do if you feel this notice is an error?
This notice was mailed to you according to the most current information we have available. If you no longer own this vehicle or some information in this notice is incorrect, please contact BRP at your
earliest convenience.

If you have questions, need assistance, or to find your nearest authorized BRP dealer:
• Visit www.skidoo.com
• In the US and Canada: 1-888-638-5397, 8:00 to 18:00 Eastern time

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
After-Sales Service Department
Bombardier Recreational Products Inc.
