Date: April 1st, 2010
Re: Fuel Hose Wear
2010 ExpeditionTM TUV 1200 and Expedition TUV SE 1200
Dear Ski-Doo Owner,
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Consumer Product Safety
Act, the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act and other applicable laws.
What is the reason for this notice?
In cooperation with Transport Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Bombardier
Recreational Products Inc. and BRP US Inc. (“BRP“) are conducting a voluntary safety recall of certain
Ski-Doo models. Our records indicate that you are the owner of a potentially affected vehicle.
What is the potential problem?
Due to possible friction between the fuel hose and the ECM, a fuel hose may wear and eventually
pierce. If a fuel hose is pierced, fuel may spill out and, in some circumstances, create a fire hazard and
potentially cause serious injuries or death.
What should you do?
Immediately stop using your vehicle, call an authorized BRP dealer and make an appointment to have
your vehicle repaired.
The BRP dealer will inspect/replace hose, cover new fuel hose with protector tubing and reposition
hose. He will perform this work at no charge to you.
What to do if you feel this notice is an error?
This notice was mailed to you according to the most current information we have available. If you no
longer own this vehicle or some information in this notice is incorrect, please contact BRP at your
earliest convenience.
If you have questions, need assistance, or to find your nearest authorized BRP dealer:
• Visit www.skidoo.com
• In the US and Canada: 1-888-638-5397, 8:00 to 18:00 Eastern time
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Thank you for your immediate attention
to this matter.
