New Cats
What is everyone's opinion on the new cat chassis? I think they are a lot like the skidoo XP and XR chassis.

Re: New Cats
When I bought your renegade, I did it because cat didnt have anything
that was remotely close to it. I did test ride a new crossfire with the
800 in it and thought awful hard about it. That new 800 is not the same
800 that cat had for years,,, much more ass end in it. Very responsive,,
but it was the same crossfire/firecat chasis that I rode for years. The
new sleds however will grab attention on the trails. I think cat hit a home
run with the looks of them and if the handle anything like the heavy F series
from 07-?? with the weight reduction,,, they could attract me when I decide
to go into another sled.

Re: New Cats
What is cat doing with their engines? I looked at the lineup this year and they are mostly 4-stroke. Are they going the way of Yammi and dropping 2-stroke engines entirely? I knew they were ending their partnership with Suzuki (lots of news stories around here about a new engine plant in St. Cloud) but they didn't say anything about only building 4-stroke! I hope they come up with a clean 2-stroke option...

Yes, they are keeping their 2-strokes around. Lot's of folks jumped to the hyper sled F1100 Turbo, gone is the F1000, and F600. The F800HO is a rocket! They have the snopro 600 and 500 for their race circuit. This is a huge sales year for Cat!dlaine wrote:What is cat doing with their engines?
