Memorial Day Weekend

What kind of fun plans do you have ? I am going over to Ohio and go fishing with Sledhead Dave for the weekend. We are going fishing with his new boat ! So if i die out on Erie with Dave , I want someone on this site to find a good home for my sleds , and Boat ! Wish me luck !

Bought a hand full of different WEAPONS to use this weekend Brook! Will see IF I can find the fish!

Have fun!!! I have about a dozen graduation parties to go to....yipee!!

I have an appointment with my smoker on Monday - a couple racks of ribs, the best beans on the planet and maybe some bacon wrapped jalapenos if I am feeling ambitious.

And of course I tell the wife that the smoker requires constant attention (with beer in hand) if you want to make sure all goes well with the smoking process!

The rest of the weekend I need to finish the cabinets I am building for the garage so I can move on to working on the sled!

Turkey hunted this morning, and bass fishing the rest of the weekend.

How was the fishing? I took home 3 bass this morning, could have taken home 5 but 2 were right on the edge of 14" Only took home one tonight, they were biting light and I missed a few good ones. Also got some gills.

OMG 3-4 footers with a fiver now and then we were the only dumbasses out on ERIE! LOL So went for a criuz up the river and show'd Brook DT Toledo then headed back to ramp brook was casting and caught a small mouth! So I guess we didn't get skunked! LOL Heading out at 5:30am to do some trolling for eyes on Erie winds out of the south at 4mph!!! Should be a much calmer and nicer day except the high to reach 97!

Where do you put in at? This time of year you might try putting in near Davis-Besse ,with water temps like they are now,the Eye's are going to be north of West Sister island probably stretching towards Middle Bass and stuck tight on the bottom,if you head that way your gonna see a HUGE pack of boats..3-4 chop is ideal for Eye's so they're out there,just troll the windward side of the pack,or drift the edge.. Due north of West sister about a mile and a half or so we found a small grass patch next to a ledge,if you can find it it's a honey hole I'll see if I can find my map and give you the approx. coordinates for it...My old GPS died and lost most of my spots...Good luck!!
