For all you duck hunters...

So ive shot a bunch of really nice birds this year...like wall mounters. I have 3 in the freezer now, figured ill share the pictures and let you appreciate the birds as much as I do. One of them im mounting partially for the memory.

either a hen or drake bluewing. Looks like a hen but probably a drake. Im saving it because the wings are really colorful and they are hard to get like that up here.





Really nice drake wigeon. Not perfect but pretty good for the UP. Though its missing its tail feathers for some unknown reason, so ill probably do a dead hanging mount on it.







Drake white wing scoter. Again, very nice specimen for up here and a memorable hunt for me. 3 man limit of diver ducks and first time hunting with someone who I hope to go on many more hunts with.

yeah we do too, but this year we have seen more bluewings than we normally do, and all the teal are sticking around longer, sucks that our season ends in 11 days. Kinda funny how we plead and beg for an earlier opener, and when we do get it we wish we didnt have it and wish the season lasted longer. Oh well I guess, cant predict the weather.

No I dont mount my own birds. One day I hope to learn, but my uncle does all of my mounts.
