This up comming weekend

Hey everyone, I am planning to make a trip to Munising, or Marquette, or Gogebic area this comming weekend. Anyone want to get out for one more ride ? So far I will be going up by myself. Or is there a better place with better snow?? I am just going off of the reports ive read. I am planning going up Fri early comming back Sun.

Trails look pretty good here in the soo even though it has been warm. I can only imagine they are better west, I have a feeling that trails that run on the pavement might not be so good though. We do have a warm up coming tomorrow and Tuesday, but after that its all good. Should be a good weekend to get out.

I hope so Nick , I have seen the reports for over by you and like what ive seen. but its a long haul for me to go there for a short trip.

Well I am all booked in at Munising, fri through mon. If you can make it , come on up ,would love to see you up there. I am mostly going up there to get the Pissed off mood i have been in this year not getting to get togather with anyone on here this season. So I "WILL TRY" to post some pix fron there . Between Munising and Grand Mariah. they say 12"-20"on the level with more in the woods ! and snow all week !

I sure hope you find some good snow. We went up last week to the Kenton/Bruce Crossing area, and got 3 pretty good days of riding in. Not copious amounts of snow, but the forest roads made for some pretty good riding. We had to head down to Eagle River for our Pink Ribbon Riders event, but trailered back up to Twin Lakes for one more day of riding, after seeing the trails in Eagle River. But I guess we were pushing our luck, because the trails were beat pretty bad. Not horrible in the morning, but by noon, they were pretty brutal. We ran into a guy there that had trailered across from Munising to drop in Kenton. We asked why he came over to the west side, and he laughed and said because they had torn up everything in Munising! But Bill said they were supposed to get snow all week over in Munising, so it's sounding like you just might do okay. Thanks for the invite though. Unfortunately, this little souvineer from Eagle River (fractured shoulder) has brought my season to an abrupt end. Last year Billy (broken back), this year me. Next year had better be better all the way around!

OK all setteled in at CherryWood Lodge in Munising ! NICE place ! snowing real good all day so far. forcasted snow everyday. I would say around 12" on the level right now. Wont actualy be on the trails till morning. Going to find a good Fish Fry and have a few drinks. Then maybe a sit in the hot tub !

any tips on a good Bar to head to tonight ??

Foggy's Steakhouse in town across from the casino. Kick ass steaks and ribs. Actually everything was good there.

Hey PP, did the fish fry tonight . But that sounds like a good place for Sat evening. and Brian, not a bad place, good fish !! sure wish I could of been here for the charity ride ! And If i didnt say thanks.

Tear some up for me. This sucks not being able to ride and there is finally some decent snow up there. I am actually considering riding in a few days. Gonna really push it the next day or so to see if I can get the arm moving properly. Going to the gym today and going to make use of the negative force of water to get it moving right. Wish me luck!

Saturday was a great day for riding, too bad the trails are so beat up. Off trail is OK ! but to crusty. I put on 87 miles today. Met up with a group of 7 from Detroit eating breakfest today. Had a good time, not riding alone all day . forcasted to get snow tonight and tomorrow. By Sunday its suposed to be rain !!
